Villa Les Cèdres is located in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, France. It was first built in 1830 and bought by King Leopold II of Belgium in 1904. It was previously considered the most expensive house on the market until 2017. The property is set on approximately 35 acres of gardens, and its name derives from the many cedar trees on its grounds.

The property now belongs to Indian business magnate and billionaire, Lakshmi Mittal, ArcelorMittal’s Chairman & CEO. Indian steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal calls this Kensington Palace Gardens home his “Taj Mittal,” which he purchased from English businessman Bernie Ecclestone in 2004 for £57 million.
