Chilla Wildlife Sanctuary
Chilla wildlife sanctuary is a spectacular natural view that is spread across the area of 249 square km. It lies beside the mighty banks of the river Ganga. This sanctuary was first found in the year 1977 and is a house too much a rare variety of animals and birds. Take a walk across the sanctuary and spot some of the grey langar, deer, falcons, quails and hornbills easily. There are safari travels that will ensure a trip around the sanctuary.

Maya Devi Temple
There are three Peethas in Haridwar that are completely dedicated to three “Shaktis”. Maya Devi Temple is one of them which is located in the heart of the city. Mythology states that goddess Sati ended her life at this place. People come here to take blessings and to get their desires fulfilled.

Across the lane of mighty Rishikesh, there is a temple that is of great fame in terms of both architectural eminence and religious views.

Sapt Rishi Ashram is a well-known ashram situated a few km away from the banks of the river Ganga. It was founded in the year 1943, by Guru Dutt. This ashram has many rooms for people to stay. There is also a Sanskrit school for the development of unprivileged kids. Do visit the place and enjoy the serenity.
Bara Bazar
Bara Bazar of Haridwar is quite different from that of any other. The bustling street is filled with religious artifacts and souvenirs such as Rudraksha and beads. People collect tiny brass idols of their favorite God and Goddess. You can also look for some Ayurvedic medicines for health and beauty. This market is always a crowd puller and hence you won’t find a day without people walking through the lane.

If you are looking to shop for some clothing and artifacts then you go ahead to the local markets of Haridwar. Everything around the market has a touch of the local culture and tradition of the city. The streets remain crowded throughout the day with buys and vendors.
